| A vibrant collection mainly of original instrumental tunes, with a few interesting standards, the album was recorded earlier this year in Toronto. Besides the fleet, inventive guitar stylings of the bandleader, the album boasts a host of first-rate playing talents. Kieran Overs on bass, and Barry Elmes on drums, are joined by Bernie Senensky or Brian Dickinson on piano (in two different studio sessions), and by the veteran Kirk McDonald, or the young virtuoso Shawn Nykwist, on saxophones. On three tracks, the front line-up of horns is further augmented with Kevin Turcotte on trumpet and Terry Lukiwski on trombone.
